Doctor Doctor !

Not well. I am not well.

Color me Bad

It should have been White. Oh, it should have been white. I missed the color by a whole light year. But aren't so many years in between supposed to make me colorblind ? Aren't we supposed to end up with the same color accidentally ?

A sudden splash I felt. Did I spill ? Could you see the spill ? Its been too long dear, embarrassment has lost its edge. The roads were never meant to unite, but several miles from yesterday there can always be a sweet intersection. But then...... you were leaving on a jet-plane.

Fresh Air..

During the past one year or so, I have come across a few fellow photographers (only a few), and I stand to admire their passion for this art-form. I greatly admire the fact that these wonderful people work with the most basic of setups, with kit lenses, and they come up with wonderful pictures, mainly landscapes. I know someone who is very serious about capturing rural landscapes only. I like what he comes back with :-). There are others too. To have such a nice bunch around, with such devotion and sincerity, helps me keep the passion for photography alive, and I want to thank them for this reason.

But why ?

"You expected to be sad in the fall. Part of you died each year when the leaves fell from the trees and their branches were bare against the wind and the cold, wintery light. But you knew there would always be the spring, as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person died for no reason"

Ernest Hemingway (A Moveable Feast)
Lost an old friend, he was only 36. We spent a lot of good time together, I don't pray, else he would have surely been in my prayers. But I can always say a mild "thank you" to him, before I go to sleep every night, for all the good moments we've shared together, for calling me by my nickname.

P.S. :- I don't Hate you !

And I don't love you either ! I'm just anti-everyone !

Poles Apart

When you have to watch two remarkable incidents in one single day, it might just take a toll on your sanity. Tendulkar amazed me again. The very fact that he came out to field after a marathon innings shows that he's got that extra bit, that puts him aside..

Talking of extras, you never run out of surprises as long as "didi" is around. A lady who has single-handedly defined and excelled new levels of stupidity, the Railway budget could just be the perfect icing on the cake. When a central minister boldly displays her bias and absolute lack of common sense, all that Indians can do is hope that she does become the chief minister of WB, so that Railways can become Indian Railways again !

To even think that tomorrow a large crowd of semi-educated, Bollywood-drenched, semi-businessmen (a.k.a Promoters) will take out their Tata Sumo's (Duly labeled "Babai Tukai" at the back)...and rejoice and hail this budget shows how insignificant and irrelevant we bengali's have become...on the national stage. I dare not think international, guys !

Bread !

Best when golden brown ! But when I visited a friend of mine, who clicks better pictures than I do, I saw a few photographs of bread....yes, bread. I asked for his permission to adopt the concept and try something new. He laughed, because I sounded too formal, and ancient !

Ah...did I tell you all that some people think that I always steal ideas from different photographers and websites ? This is something new to me, felt bad to start with, but now I kind of find it very funny !....Cheers !

Small is beautiful

I was having a word with a fellow enthusiast, and we both feel that we need to form a small group of like-minded shutterbugs (and not genius-es).

Nikon SB900 in the horizon, but I'm broke now. Have to wait for it. But what I've seen so far, there are endless opportunities waiting to be explored.

Coffee at 4, but no pictures, alas !

Learn photography in 11 Days !

I'm going to get killed !

Oh no, don't kill me right away. Look around. What do you see ? Its raining DSLR's people ! And its raining Photographers. All you need is a dusty lane, shabby houses and a couple of beggars (preferably in their sleep).
And what do you have ? Magic moments, awe-inspiring photographs. In short, master-pieces.

I have chosen to unlearn. What I find is that the road downhill is more fun !
